About

The Schofields Cricket Club (SCC) has a proud cricketing history. Our Vision is to provide Cricketers development, Growth and Leadership across the club building succuss on and off the field.  We want to build strong community ties and provide the best cricket facilities for our members.

SCC was first established back in the early 1900’s as a social cricket club, playing organised cricket matches against teams from Hawkesbury and Parramatta Districts. The club formally began playing in the PDJCA competition in 1924 and played until 1947. The Club was re-formed again in 1958 playing in the PDJCA.

The modern SCC was formed in 1958-59 in the Parramatta Junior Cricket Association.  The then Club President Mr R Hobbs entered 2 teams in to the competition 1 Senior team B4 and a Under 15s team in the Junior competition.  The club had 40 players registered for the season.

The Schofields cricket club joined the Hawkesbury District Cricket Association HDCA in 1974 and continue to play under the HDCA today.  SCC has a home field at Schofields Park and a 1st grade Turf wicket at Oakville Oval.

From the early days of 2 teams the Schofields Cricket Club now has over 19 Junior teams, 10 Senior Teams with over 300 + registered players and is also active participant in the  Woolworths Cricket Blast program which supports aspiring young cricketers through to the Junior and senior cricket pathways. Additionally, SCC has been succesfully running “All Abilities Cricket Program” and also has a team participating in “Sydney Masters Cricket” competition.

In the 2018/19 season we had 10 junior players represent the HDCA in the Junior Inter district competition and players from our First grade team were major contributors to the team competing in the Martin Shield.  Last years season was very successful with 4 senior teams playing in the finals with 2 runner ups and 2 junior teams playing finals with the 12s winning the final.
